My name is Guy, Miles for Wishes is my journey to challenge and change myself – to do all of the things I’ve talked about doing and never have in order to raise money for some amazing charities – and maybe to inspire others along the way.
In 2017 I started this journey, taking up running and cycling and completing events and challenges I’d never attempted before. Over the course of the year I took on some incredible challenges – cycling solo and unsupported from John O’Groats to Land’s End in 9 days, climbing the 3 highest peaks in the UK solo in under 24 hours as well as running a handful of half marathons and a full marathon. At the end of 2017 my supporters and I had raised over £2,500 for Make-A-Wish. By the end of 2018 I want to have raised a further £2,500 for this incredible charity that supports children living with the challenge of a critical illness.
I’m not an athlete or an adventurer, I’m just an ordinary man who believes that by challenging ourselves we can change the world – I got tired of talking and I used a crossroads in my life to start doing, to be the change I wanted to see in the world.
