Race Across America (RAAM) 2022

Race Across America (RAAM) is one of the most respected and longest running ultra-endurance events in the world. RAAM is seen as a pinnacle of athletic achievement not only in cycling circles but the greater sporting community as well.  Starting in Oceanside, under one of the longest piers in California, RAAM spans 3000 miles, climbs 175,000 feet, crosses 12 states and finishes at City Dock in Annapolis, Maryland, the east coast sailing mecca.

There is no other race in the world like RAAM. There is no race that combines the distance, terrain and weather; no other event that tests a team’s spirit from beginning to end. RAAM is the true test of speed, endurance, strength and camaraderie, the ideal combination of work and play.

RAAM is about 30% longer than the Tour de France. Moreover, racers must complete the distance in roughly half the time, with no rest days. Solo racers have a maximum of 12 days to complete the race, most finishing in 11 days with the fastest finishing in under 8 days.

I want every child to have the opportunity to thrive and have the opportunity to reach their full potential in life, no matter the challenges they may face.

That’s why I raise funds for both The Pace Centre and Action4Youth. Any money raised during the Race Across America or in the build up to it, will go to these two Buckinghamshire based children’s Charities.

Pace

Pace is a Charity that helps children with neurodisabilities, such as cerebral palsy and development delay, to achieve their full potential in life.

Action4Youth

Action4Youth is a youth charity providing positive and transformational experiences, activities, programmes and courses which help and inspire young people.
